New Hampshire v. ADAM MONTGOMERY
Jury selection began on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 and was completed the following day in New Hampshire's latest two criminal cases against Adam Michael Montgomery (34).
216-2022-CR-00020 Second Degree Assault
216-2022-CR-02372 Second Degree Homicide, Tampering with Witnesses and Informants, Falsifying Physical Evidence, Abuse of a Corpse
The jury will not be allowed to take notes or ask questions throughout the entire process. They were taken on a sort of field trip on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 where they visited several of the locations that will be discussed during witness testimony.
Opening statements were presented to the jury by Christopher Knowles for the State and Caroline Smith for the Defense on Thursday, February 8, 2024. The presentation of evidence phase began later that same day with the first eight witnesses.
Adam Montgomery is currently serving time in prison after being sentenced in June 2023 to serve 32-75 years on weapons charges. He was officially labeled as an armed career criminal at that time (216-2022-CR-00577)
Inmate Montgomery (0066018) has refused transportation from the prison to the courthouse each morning and has therefore not attended court since the jury was seated.
